On behalf of those of us who feel that is nobody's business but their own whom they choose to marry, and who support the idea of two people in love to validate that with a civil marriage, I am sorry. I am sorry that the people of this state, who will no doubt start a trend across the rest of the country, felt it was necessary to deny you rights that are yours by virtue of being American. I am sorry that the same people who elected a black man to be president, and who obviously care deeply about the plight of farm animals, could not be moved to grant gay people a simple word that would have only strengthened it anyway.
I wish I could see Canada is nice this time of year.
